Many Christians deprecate the Old Testament (O.T.) as it supposedly depicts God as cruel and vindictive.
But most of the O.T. is really about our weak and foolish human natures.
I suspect that the above aversion to the O.T. is really because it presents us with an unflattering picture of ourselves.
The O.T. convinces us that, apart from God’s grace, we are no better than the vilest sinners and that we are all hell bound.
But what the O.T. does is convince us that we all need a savior.
The Gospel of Christ Jesus requires the O.T. to tell us why the Gospel is so vital.
I submit God has abandoned America and the West to the a self-destruction brought on by God permitting us to have it all our own way.
God speaks through various media, including circumstances.
9/11 and the widespread anti-Trump programmed-like behavior are examples.
God is speaking His O.T. message through the implosion we all sense to be happening in our world.
He is warning us that having it our way leads to death. The Savior’s way is to life.
We will choose and He will dispose accordingly.
